Rafe Sadnan Adel is a seasoned communication professional whose career bridges journalism, academia, and strategic leadership. Beginning his journey in the media industry, he spent a decade (2008–2018) working with leading platforms such as ABC Radio, BBC World Service Trust, Banglanews24.com, ATN News, Somoy Television, Ekattor Television, Channel 24, Dhaka Tribune, Sportstimes24.com, Poriborton.com, and Ekushey Television, building a strong foundation in storytelling and news strategy.
He later transitioned into leadership roles, serving as Assignment Editor at Somoy Television, Director of the Public Relations Office at North South University, and Head of Media and External Relations at BRAC, where he led high-impact communication initiatives. Alongside his professional work, he contributed to academia as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh.
Driven by personal loss and a commitment to social impact, he founded Cancerbd.net—the country’s first Bengali-language cancer awareness platform. Since July 2021, he has also been serving as a Board Director of the World Ovarian Cancer Coalition, contributing to global advocacy and communication efforts in cancer awareness.
